Arthur 'Art''s Story

Arthur "Art" Paul Pringle, 80, of Conneautville, formerly Linesville and Cochranton, passed away, Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Rolling Fields Eldercare Community, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 4, 1936 in Greenville, Pennsylvania, a son of Chester Arthur Pringle and Martha Devlin. He married Doris "Gail" (Wilkes) Pringle on June 5, 1965 she survives.
Art was a police officer with Meadville City Police and was of the Presbyterian faith.
He enjoyed square dancing, motorcycle riding, fishing, and drawing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his wife and daughters. His grandchildren were the light of his life. Art always shared his humor and enjoyed making people laugh.
In addition to his loving wife, Gail, he is survived by two daughters, Devanie Kiefer and her husband Kevin of Linesville and Kimberly Adams and her husband Michael of Cochranton; grandchildren, Erin Kiefer, Justin Kiefer, and Maxwell Adams; step grandchildren, Michael "Mick" Adams, Casey Adams, and Cole Adams; step great grandchildren, Declan Adams and Lillian Adams; and a brother, Chester "Junior" Pringle and his wife Barb of South Carolina, also many nieces and nephews.
Art was preceded in death by his father, Chester Arthur Pringle; his mother, Martha Devlin; his step-father, Raymond Devlin; a sister, Lavina "Sis" Fontana; and a brother, Herbert Pringle and a niece Wanda Bentley.
To the staff of Rolling Fields Eldercare Community; we feel so blessed that our Father was in your loving care during his final moments, as you are still loving and caring for our Mom. We all feel so blessed that you were able to be with us during his passing. You gave us strength, hope and comfort which has brought us peace and harmony as a family. Our loving thanks to each of you who cared for our dad and especially thank you to Aimee at Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home for her compassion and patience.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1600 Peninsula Dr Suite 15, Erie, PA 16505, or to Rolling Fields Eldercare Community, 9108 State Highway 198, Conneautville, PA 16406.
In accordance to Art's wishes, no calling hours will be observed. A private memorial service will be held for the family.
