Carol Ann Pangerc, 89, of Saegertown, passed on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at her residence.
Carol was born on May 16, 1928 in Dandridge, TN a daughter of Carl Sherman Barbee and Annie Zirkle Barbee. She married William James Pangerc March 16, 1952; he preceded her in death on June 29, 2006.
She received her education at Greenville School, Maury High School and Oak Ridge Atomic. Carol was employed through Oak Ridge Atomic, served a civilian military assignment in Germany and provided daycare for children.
Carol was affiliated with St. Brigid's Church. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, gardening, reading, camping, traveling worldwide and nationwide and spending time with her grandchildren.
Carol is survived by two daughters, Sandra Reagle of Moristown, TN, Cheryl (Michael) Peters of Arlington, TX; two sons, William (Kelli Pangerc & Lori Elliott) Pangerc of Phoenix, AZ and David Pangerc of Saegertown, PA; five grandchildren, Brittany Pangerc, Ali Pangerc, Shawn Peters, Rachael Peters and Keith Peters; two sisters, Pauline Roach and Barbara Lacosta all of Tennessee; and four brothers, Ben Barbee, Willard Barbee, Gerald Barbee, and French Barbee. Carol has large extended family around her home and she is also survived by the many children she provided daycare for that she treated all as her own.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Donna; sisters, Wanda Barbee, Dorathy Noonkesser, Lois Koppe; brothers, Paul Barbee, Harry-Lee Barbee, and George Barbee.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 1 to 4 PM at the HATHEWAY-TEDESCO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 614 BALDWIN STREET, MEADVILLE. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday at St. Brigid Catholic Church, 353 Pine Street, Meadville, with Father Jeffrey Lucas as celebrant.
Interment will be St. Brigid Cemetery.
