Charles's Story

Charles David Peterson passed away in Clermont, Florida on April 26, 2017 at the age of 80. Chuck was born in Geneva, Pennsylvania on August 1, 1936 to Raymond and Evelyn Tanner Peterson. He graduated from Conneaut Lake High School in 1954 and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954-58. While stationed at Ramey Air Force Base in Aquadilla, Puerto Rico, he met Maria Antonia "Tony" del Toro; they were married on September 7, 1957 and had four children.
After release from the Air Force, Chuck was a satellite and microwave maintenance manager at AT&T of Puerto Rico before retiring in 1996. Chuck and Tony resided in Bayamon, Puerto Rico until 2000, when they moved to Clermont.
Chuck is survived by his wife; four children--Charles, Raymond, Sandra, and Diana; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He also leaves three brothers-- Louis of Boulder, Colorado; John of Las Cruces, New Mexico; and Richard of Upper Montclair, New Jersey--and one sister, Joyce Stoyer, of Cochranton, Pennsylvania. He was predeceased by a fourth brother, Robert, in 1987.
Funeral arrangements were through the Funeraria y Centro de Cremacion in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico
with interment in Los Robles Memorial Park in the same city on May 7, 2017.
