September 24, 1947 - January 10, 2019

Clifford L. Edwards Clifford L. Edwards, 71, of Meadville, PA Passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, January 10, 2019, after a long and arduous battle against cancer.

Son of his cherished mother Gertrude Edwards and Father Maxie Edwards, Clifford was born on September 24,1947 in Steubenville, OH. So very sorry for your lost of Cliff.
Cliff was a very close friend of my late husband Warren. He would often hang out with him and keep company at our house. May God give you all peace, strength and comfort as you are greiving the loss of Cliff.

My heart is very heavy. I’m going to miss my big brother. He came to my track meets and coached me on my events. Nobody else did that but him. He gave me the nickname Shake, I loved that. It made me feels special. I practically lived with him and my sister as a full time summer baby sitter. I have so many precious memories. He introduced me to jazz, my favorite genre. Rest well big brother, the coolest cat in Meadville.

Cliff was the easiest man I ever met to have a conversation with. I could sit and talk with him about anything at all and the hours would just slip by. He treated me like I was his son from the first time I met him. The world is an emptier place without him.

I love you Grandpa! You will be truly missed! I can’t wait to tell Cayson about how strong and loving his great-grandfather was. Now we have another angel looking down on us.

I can’t possibly sum up all that this man meant to me in this one comment.

He was always my Father, at times he had to also be my mother, but mostly he was my dearest friend.

He always understood me and often loved me more than I loved myself.

He was my friend when no one called, my company when no one showed, and my heart when no one cared.

When I grew up, he loved my husband like a son, and always encouraged us both to be the very best versions of ourselves for each other.

Between the pumpkin pie only dinners when my mom was in the hospital, to him staging a fake Easter bunny outside in the woods that inadvertently terrified a young me, his larger than life persona filled me wi
...th hope and the confidence to go into the world as the person he wanted me to be.

My heart is heavy with the loss of the father I was given by God and the close friend I discovered by Luck.

Thank you daddy, for everything you are and all that you’ve done.

I hope wherever you are, you get to know that I’ll always be your little girl.

My husband always said "if he could have a brother, Cliff would be it: They were the best of friends. They coached the 7th 8th grade football team in their days and were unbeatable. My family and I will always cherish the memories of Cliff. We all loved him.
