David Glenn Henninger

July 10, 1948 - March 08, 2019

David Glenn Henninger David Glenn Henninger age 70, died Thursday March 7, 2019 at his home in San Clemente, California after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Meadville July 10, 1948 to Bill and Eileen (Hoy) Henninger.
David attended Meadville High School where he excelled as an athlete, attaining "three letter" status as a sophomore. He was elected Lt. Governor of student council and announced his engagement to Linda Pease at his senior prom. Later, the couple was blessed with a son, David Jr., who still lives and works in southern California.
David went to work at Talon Zipper and was one of their youngest foreman, before moving to California to head Talon's Division in Los Angeles. David continued his involvement in sports by coaching and playing rugby. He returned to this area often to visit his family and go hunting.
David loved the sea and earned a captain's license to fish and enjoy the Pacific Ocean and Alaska. After Talon closed, he was lucky enough to establish a career with a communications company and marry his current wife Debbie.
David and Debbie thrived together until his cancer diagnosis eleven and a half years ago. With Debbie's constant love and support and Dave's fighting spirit, he stayed with us well beyond the year and a half the doctors had projected.
David is survived by his wife, Debbie; his son, David Jr. and his wife Marri Van Dyke, all of San Clemente; CA; his sister, Nancy Sheatz and her husband Jerry of Carlton, PA; his brothers Gary, of San Clemente, CA; Dan of Meadville, PA, and Bob of Jacksonville, FL; five nieces and nephews; five great nieces; and five great-great nieces and nephews.
The family appreciates your love and support and suggests that donations be made to your local hospice.

I have such special memories of Dave in high school and he was such s very special person. He was always caring and kind someone you could look up to and respect. I caught up with Dave on Facebook and he was always so positive. There won’t be a day that goes by that when I see a bird I know Dave is checking up on us. May God be with you and your family. Thanks for the special memories. πŸ™πŸ™

Just recently I discovered David on Facebook having lost track of him after high school. Always a very friendly and kind individual who will be missed by all who ever knew him. I will remember him for the goodness in his character and the love in his heart. If ever someone was to be with the angels, it was David. We all ask God to bless and protect our friend.

I have been able to reconnect with Dave through Facebook for several years now. He brought a lot of joy to my day with his beautiful bird pictures and his constant positive attitude and unbelievable courage. Dave gave so much to so many people that I don't think he realized. Peace to his family and God's blessings to my friend.
Great high school memories. I remember his wedding to Linda like it was yesterday, even down to the tuxes the guys wore! Oh, and the limburger cheese in the manifold, if my memory is correct! I have been blessed to have known Dave and have a lot of memories to keep him in my heart. Plus, I will never look at a bird again without thinking of Dave.
