David M. Howard, 72, of Hudson, Florida, formerly of Meadville passed away at home on Monday, November 20, 2017 with his wife by his side. Born on February 26, 1945 to the late Betty Jo (Frazier) and Ralph S. Howard. He married Cheryl (Jockel) Mills on May 5, 1990, she survives.
David graduated from Townville High School and joined the United States Air Force. Following his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he worked for PennDOT, San-Ray Corp. and as a realtor for ERA, prior to relocating to Florida.
He enjoyed spending time with his wife and family, as well as his faithful companion, Stanley. David also loved the fellowship he had with his friends and family in recovery, helping many, while looking forward to reaching 30 years clean in January.
Survivors include his son, Brandon (Cheryl) Howard of Conneaut Lake; daughter, Tracy (Richard) Swihart of Harmonsburg; stepdaughters Rachel (Paul) Pelc of Meadville, Jamie Mills and her partner Curt Daloise of Utica and Elizabeth (Mark) Covington of Virginia; grandchildren, Dennis Swihart, Hannah Pelc, Maddalynn Lepley, Brady Kozlowski and Henry Daloise.
Aside from his parents, David was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Olive Daloise.
There will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local FOP, ASPCA or church of your choice.
