Delmer's Story

Delmer R. Fischer, age 61, current resident of Clermont, Florida and longtime resident of Cambridge Springs, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 after a brief illness. He was surrounded by his wife and loving family. Born in Meadville, Pennsylvania on December 9, 1955, he was a son of the late Delmer & Orrie Fischer. Del served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany. In Cambridge Springs, Del worked at the Locker Plant, Short's Red & White, and Quality Markets. He retired in 2015 for Lord Corporation in Saegertown, where he was a dispersion operator. Del moved to Florida in September 2015, where he was involved in his community's Latin American Group and enjoyed spending time in the sunshine with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 19 years, Karin; a daughter - Brita Rizzo and her husband, Mark; a grandson - Carter Rizzo, all of Ocoee, FL; brothers - David Fischer of Meadville, PA & Orvie Fischer and his wife, Sue of Marietta, OH: sisters - Karin Fleeger of Conneautville, PA, Norma Szymanski of Charlotte, WV and Della Fischer of IN: and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers - Lewis Fischer & Erich Fischer.
In accordance with Del's wishes, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
