Frank Michael Rogers Frank Rogers, of Denver, NC, passed into the Light of Our Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus Christ Our Savior, on October 3, 2018. He was the son of the late Daniel and Frances (Chmura) Rogers. He was married to Karen Barnes Rogers who survives.
He was a graduate of Saegertown High School and attended Youngstown University, Youngstown, OH. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, Mooresville, NC and was a third degree Knight of Columbus and a member of the Shriners.
Frank was employed as a journeyman tool and die maker with Kuhn Tool and Die, Meadville, PA, Talon, Meadville, PA and Talon, Gastonia, NC. He was a plant manager for Douglas Leonhardt and Associates, Concord, NC. He was also employed in the maintenance department of Hampton Inn, Mooresville, NC.
He served as a Sergeant in the United States Army Reserves, Meadville, PA.
He was an avid traveler, a master flower gardener, dog lover and bird watcher. He enjoyed football, golfing, playing poker with the guys, car shows and was a NASCAR fan. Frank especially loved fishing with his grandsons, Nick, Noah and Ben. He genuinely loved God's beautiful creations of nature and the North Carolina "blue skies."
Frank dearly loved his family and was a genuine and compassionate friend. He sought the "honor of God" when he unselfishly gave of his time and talents to all who were in need. His favorite quote was "catch you on the flip side."
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas and Stephen Rogers. He is survived by his beloved wife, Karen; children, Jacque Rogers Dearing (Danny), Christopher Rogers and Stacey Staf (Bernard). Sister, Rita Kiter (Edward); Uncle John and Aunt Patricia Pero. Grandchildren, Miah Springer Dearing, Brett Dearing, Nick and Noah Semanko and Benjamin Staf. Niece, Tracy Rogers Clark (Wayne), Nephew, Matt Kiter (Chelsea), four great nieces, a great nephew, and several cousins.
A Rite of Christian Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Therese, Mooresville, NC. Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery, Statesville, NC. Honors were presented by the Knight of Columbus and the United States Army Military Guards.
Memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 604 Doug Mayes Place, Charlotte, NC 28262, St. Therese Catholic Church, 217 Brawley School Road, Mooresville, NC 28117, or a Charity of one's choice.
We "can only imagine" the heavenly peace and love that Frank envisioned when he met Our Heavenly Father face to face. Rest in Eternal Peace for Eternity, beloved Frank.
