Genevieve Marie Dallas, 96, formerly of Cochranton died Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Rolling Fields ElderCare Community in Conneautville.
Born, June 30, 1920 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Frank and Julia Worthmiller Kotwa. She married Michael A. Dallas on June 25, 1940 and he preceded her in death.
Genevieve attended St. Joseph's School in Pittsburgh and worked at Kotwa's General Store and Boehms Noodle Factory located in Pittsburgh. After moving to the Cochranton area she was a homemaker and enjoyed baking, cooking and gardening.
She was a former member of the Meadville Eagles and Moose Clubs and also attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Cochranton.
Survivors include a daughter Genevieve M Barngrover of Meadville and a son Michael Edward Dallas and his wife Penni of Meadville. Four grandchildren, Russell H. Barngrover and his wife Judy of Charlotte, North Carolina, Gina L Boughner and her husband Brian of Carrollton, Georgia, Ronald M Barngrover and his wife Hope of Roanoke, Virginia, and Kimberly M. Whitehead and her husband Shawn of Cochranton. Eight great grandchildren, Courtney Capone, Amanda Barngrover, Sydney Barngrover, Michael Brink, Samantha Boughner, Delaney Whitehead, Riley Barngrover, and Peyton Barngrover, and a great great grandson, Max Capone.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Eddie Kotwa, a sister, Anna Kotwa, a grandson, Michael Alan Dallas and a great granddaughter, Jada Marie Baker.
Friends and family will be received at the DICKSON FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 123 S. Franklin St., Cochranton on Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Cochranton with the Rev. Daniel Prez as Celebrant. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
