Glenn's Story

Glenn R. Malliard, (81) of 487 Jefferson St., Meadville, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at home.
Glenn was born in Cochranton, on June 7, 1936, a son of the late Clifford and Florence (Crecraft) Malliard.
He was of the Catholic faith.
Glenn was employed by National Fuel Gas for 37 years, beginning his carrier as a meter reader and retiring in 1997 as office personnel. He also worked from 1973-2017 as a part time police officer for West Mead Township. A 1954 graduate of Cochranton High School, Glenn entered the US Army on September 21, 1956 and served his country honorably until his discharge on September 10, 1958. He was a member of VFW Post #2006. His greatest enjoyment came from the time spent with his family, especially grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Glenn is survived by five children Medina Fugate, Brenda Bizzaro (John), Norman Malliard (Theresa), all of Meadville, Raymond Malliard (Sharnell), Saegertown, Brandon Malliard of Meadville, longtime companion Sandra Lee Derby, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, brother Jack Malliard (Mona), Cochranton, many nieces and nephews.
Glenn was preceded in death by a sister Maxine Vogan, two brothers Harold and Carl Malliard.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 and Friday from 10-11 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM with Fr. Jeffrey Lucas officiating. Military Honors by VFW Post #2006 will follow.
Glenn will be laid to rest in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Crawford County, 766 Liberty St., Meadville.
