Gloria's Story

Gloria Lee Adams Watkins Sopher, age 80 of Saegertown, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018 at the Marquette Hospice House.
She was born February 17, 1938 in Rhimersburg, PA the daughter of the late Leonard Adams and Dorothy Lee Allen Adams. She was formerly married to Robert Leroy Watkins and to James Sopher.
After her youngest child graduated, Gloria returned to school to obtain her high school diploma in 1985. She retired from the County Home as a cook. She formerly worked at Charlie's, Days Inn, Park Avenue Diner and Williams Café as a cook.
Gloria was a member of the Cornerstone Church of God. She was a great bowler and had the highest game of 287, enjoyed going to casinos, traveling and loved her flower beds. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Gloria is survived by three daughters: Debbie Watkins, Meadville, Becky Sheridan and her husband Patrick, Saegertown, Wanda Sharpe, Townville, two sons: Robert Leroy Watkins II and wife Sue, Cochranton, Ronald Watkins and his fiancé Robin, Meadville, 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, two brothers: Leroy Adams and wife Donna in Florida, Kenneth Adams and wife Jane, Meadville, brother-in-law Dave Miller, Meadville, and her close friend Pam Black and her husband Bill, Saegertown.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by two sisters: Carol Miller and Janice Vanderslice.
All are invited to Gloria's Celebration of Life service at the Cornerstone Church of God, 18320 Conneaut Lake Road, Meadville, on Friday February 23 at 6 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Gloria's memory to the Hospice of Crawford County, 766 Liberty Street, Meadville, PA 16335
