There was a celebration in heaven on March 9, 2019 when Helen Viola Blood Funk, age 91, of Conneautville, was called home from Rolling Fields, Inc. in Conneautville, PA. She will be laid to rest next to her husband John, in Pierpont, Ohio.
She was born in Conneaut Ohio on June 24, 1927, a daughter of the late Harry R. Blood and Edla Fails Blood. She married John Kenneth Funk who preceded her in death on August 21, 2009.
Helen retired from Molded Fiberglass and then enjoyed working at the Kando Ceramics with family and friends. Most of her life she spent as a homemaker taking care of John and the girls. She was a loving wife, mother, grand-mother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother and cherished the time spent with family. She shared God's word with everyone she met. She was a member of the Living Hope Community Church in Conneautville.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Stewart and her husband Paul Daniel (Danny), of Conneautville, Donna Nogee and her husband Tom, and Sandra Bean and her husband, Richard, all of Meadville; four grandchildren, Patty and her husband John McEwan of Conneautville, Greg Carless and Lois Fries, of Hartstown, Brian Bean of Meadville, Tracy King and her husband, David, and Julie Bean all of Conneautville; nine great-grandchildren, Tyler Carless and Amy Baker, Torie Carless, Jordan and Brook King, Harley and Heather McEwan, Haley (McEwan) and her husband Sam Lenhardt and Lane and Marissa Morris; one great-great granddaughter, Naomi Stallsmith; four siblings, Ida Tobin, Betty Ball, Jeannie Fleek, and Mark Miller and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband John and siblings Nelson, Harry Jr., Kenneth, Harold, Leora Durfee Smith and Doris Wamsley.
Per the family's request, services will be private with Pastors Eric Flint and Rich Jones officiating.

The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Rolling Fields Eldercare Community for all the care and love they provided for Helen.
