Janet Marie Patchell, age 63 of Meadville passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at her residence.
Janet was born November 29, 1953 in Meadville the daughter of the late Norbert and Mildred Merritt Beck. She married Frank Alan Mascitti on May 23, 1995. He preceded her in death on May 29, 2017.
Janet graduated from Cambridge Springs High School. She was of the Catholic Faith. Janet enjoyed time spent gardening, fishing, being outdoors and driving. She loved watching movies and being around her cats and dogs.
Janet is survived by two daughters: Jennifer Patchell, Meadville, Brittany Mascitti, husband Jared Smith, Virginia Beach, VA, a son: Daniel W. Patchell, Hermitage, two grandchildren: Jamie Prussack, Kiashia Prussack, great-granddaughter: Sophia Marie Schultz, three step-children: Tina Yanacek, husband Mark, Conneaut Lake, Frank Mascitti, wife Jennifer, Meadville, Devanie Coudriet, Pittsburgh, three step-great-grandchildren: Johnathan Earley, Konnor Mascitti, Kaelynn Mascitti, step-great-granddaughter: Evelyn Earley, three sisters: Mildred Frontz, husband Leroy, Cambridge Springs, Linda Hanson, husband Raymond, Saegertown, Diana Beck, Venango, four brothers: James Beck, wife Ginger, Cambridge Springs, Charles Beck, wife Janice, Cambridge Springs, William Beck and companion Christine Roberts, Conneautville, and Patrick Beck, wife Jill, Cambridge Springs. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Janet was preceded in death by two brothers: Bernard James Beck and Robert N. Beck.
Family and friends are welcome to call on Friday from 6 to 8 PM at Kenneth G Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA 16335, and may attend the funeral service on Saturday at 11 A.M. at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in the Venango Cemetery.
