Janice's Story

Janice Monnin, 78, passed away October 27, 2017 at Madeira Health Care Center, Cincinnati after a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. She was born January 23, 1939 to the late William L. and Vivian (Loucks) Morris. She married Dale L. Monnin April 6, 1963. He passed away August 5, 2005. Janice was a loving wife, mother, and friend. She was a devoted and caring Certified Nurses Assistant employed by the Quakertown Manor and upon moving to Saegertown, was employed by Wesbury, Meadville. She enjoyed country music. She and Dale attended many country music concerts from which she collected a huge amount of country music star T-shirts. Janice was a past member of the New Beginnings Church, Meadville and a long time member of the PA State Grange. She is survived by a daughter, Stacey Monnin of Cincinnati, a son Mark Monnin of Bloomington, IN, a sister Sylvia (Bob) Garton of Meadville, a foster brother, Milo (Margaret) Gevin of Cochranton, a foster brother Dale (Debra) Gevin of Cambridge Springs and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a son Bret. Friends and family may call Thursday, Nov. 2, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the McCauley Funeral Home, 1405 Main Street, Conneautville, PA 16406. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Friday at 10:00 am with Pastor Temple Jarrell of New Beginnings Church officiating.
