John Charles Andrake III, 73 of Cochranton died Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the Meadville Medical Center, Transitional Care Unit. Born, July 31, 1944 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of John C. and Anne Visnich Andrake Jr. He married Diane Bednarsky on March 28, 1981 and she survives.
He graduated from St. Basiles High School in 1962 and attended Robert Morris College for 3 years.
John also worked at his family's auto body shop in Carrick and for several years he was employed with Waste Management in Greenville and Erie as a diesel mechanic.
He was a member of the Cochranton Masonic Lodge #790 and a lifelong member of the NRA. He was also and avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing and also was a devoted cat lover.
Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, Heather Biggart and her husband Brock along with their expected daughter Brooklynn Rose of Sharpsville and Jennifer Andrake of Cochranton. A sister, Anne Ureta of Kenner Louisiana, and two nephews, Sean Ureta of Fulsom, California and Steven Ureta of San Francisco, California.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son John C. Andrake IV.
No calling hours or services are planned. A Celebration of John's life will be held at future time.
