Kathleen "Katie" DiVentura, 67, Altoona, passed away Friday at The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg.
She was born in Meadville, daughter of the late Frederick "Fritz" and Lucille (Macanac) Kiebort. She married Robert DiVentura in June 1972.
Surviving is her loving husband of 45 years; three sons: Robert III (Jamie), Matthew and Chris (Jayme); two sisters: Patty Traversi, and Rosie Mercatoris; a brother, Peter Kiebort; three grandchildren: Dylanne, Noah and Nora; a sister-in-law, Jean Montgomery; a niece, Christy Montgomery-Snyder; three nephews: Donnie, Tony and Michael Montgomery; a cousin, Jamie Walby; and numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jean Brown; and her parents-in-law, Robert and Margaret DiVentura.
She was a graduate of Meadville High School and earned a bachelor's degree in business from Robert Morris College. She worked as a county planner for the Blair County Planning Commission. She also worked at Boscov's and was a bookkeeper for the family business. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
Katie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Santella Funeral Home.
