Kathryn B. Jackson, 94, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community, passed away there Wednesday, January 3, 2018.
She was born December 5, 1923 in Franklin, a daughter of Quinton and Alta Hart Boughner. She married Leon Wygant October 25, 1945 and he preceded her in death September 23, 1984. She subsequently married James S. Jackson, Jr. November 24, 1990 and he preceded her in death January 11, 2006.
Kathryn was a 1943 graduate of Rocky Grove High School. She worked in the corporate office of Alltel, Hudson, OH for 29 years, retiring in 1991 as supervisor of commercial practices for the Midwest region.
Kathryn was a member of the Golden Crown Chapter, Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and doing crafts.
Survivors include a step-daughter, Susan Barkley (John) of Michigan; a son-in-law, Arden Hibbard of Meadville; and nieces and nephews, Judith Kelly (Lloyd), Linda Reitz (Steve), Sharon Wykoff (Bill), Craig Steele (Catherine) and Warren Boughner (Pat) and their families.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Hibbard; four sisters, Laura Brooks, Minnie Stone, Hazel Reitz, and Mabel Shambaugh; and a brother Gaylord Paul Boughner.
Calling hours will be Monday, January 8th from 1-3 p.m. and Tuesday, January 9th from 10-11 a.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE with an Eastern Star service Monday at 3:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, January 9th at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Sam Marchetta, Chaplain of Wesbury United Methodist Community, officiating.
Interment will be in Cochranton Cemetery.
