Luke D. Slye
Born September 12, 1996 in Titusville, Pa, he was son of Dale L. and Belva J. Proper Slye.
Luke attended both Lakeview and Meadville High Schools. When in high school he was a percussionist in the band.
He was currently working for Minor Acres Packing, Worth Township, Jackson Center.
Luke was a member of the New Lebanon Community Church and was active with their youth group.
He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved working on the farm and being outdoors.
Luke was always known for his good sense of humor and for the sparkle in his eye. He was loved and will be sadly missed.
Survivors include his mother Belva Anderson and her husband Erik, Sandy Lake, his father Dale Slye and his wife Mary, Meadville, two sisters: Katelin Slye and her fiancée Ben Horning, Grove City, Pa and Emma Slye, Meadville, two brothers: Austin Slye and his fiancée Megan Jamison, Sandy Lake and Joseph Slye, Meadville; a step-sister Kayla Anderson and her fiancée Alexander Rosenthal, Chicago, Illinois; also maternal grandmother Susan Matthews, Timmonsville, South Carolina, paternal grandparents Douglas and Katherine Slye, Corry, Pa, maternal great-grandmother Bettie Ritchie, Titusville, PA and two nieces Myah Urey and Lyla Slye, both Grove City.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather James Proper and maternal great-grandparents Gerald and Alice Kinnear and Frederick Proper and paternal great-grandparents Archie and Noreen Willis and Victor and Lillian Slye.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Luke's memory to the Lakeview High School Band, 2482 Mercer Street, Stoneboro, Pa 16153.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Tuesday (11-29-16) in the New Lebanon Community Church, 4166 Mercer St., Sandy Lake with Pastor, Virginia LaVan Gadsby, officiating.
Interment and Committal Service: Union Home Cemetery, Wolf Creek Twp., Grove City, Pa.
