Marion Elizabeth Snyder, age 90, of 809 Lura Road, Cambridge Springs, formerly of Dunn Valley, McKean passed away peacefully on January 28, 2018, at Meadville Medical Center.
She was born on September 3, 1927, to Herbert Weigel and Helen Brown Weigel.
Marion graduated from Fairview High School and then entered Maryville College in Maryville, TN, where she earned a Library Science degree in 1948. She worked as a librarian for several libraries throughout the 1950's and also obtained her realtor's license in the 1970's. As a homemaker she enjoyed sewing, gardening, and working puzzles and was a lifelong member of First Church of Christ, Scientist in Erie, PA.
Marion is survived by her husband Dr. Donald E. Snyder of Cambridge Springs whom she married on April 1, 1953; her daughter, Amy J. Snyder, of Painesville, OH; her son, Derek B. Snyder and his wife, Marla, of Springboro, PA; her daughter, Dulcie Snyder Lee of Cambridge Springs, PA; her grandson, Chris Snyder and his wife, Nichole; her granddaughter, Jennifer Johnson and her husband, Shawn; her granddaughter, Rachel Snyder ; her grandson, Grant Lee; her step-granddaughter, Kyla Presto; her sister, Janice Boucher of Annapolis, MD; and several great-grandchildren and nieces.
Friends are invited to call at the Van Matre Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Thursday, February 1 from 1 to 2 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m.
