Meave's Story

Meave (Sis) Grinnell, age 85, of Meadville, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, May 11, 2018, at her residence.
Sis was born on March 12, 1933 in Meadville, the daughter of Vincent and Julia Hart Rew.
She married Walter (Lucky) Grinnell on November 29, 1953.  Lucky preceded Sis in death on April 12, 2009. 
Together they owned and operated the Evergreens Restaurant for many years: Sis also worked at Kmart for many years.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sis was preceded in death by their son Craig, on September 19, 1976; and a sister Dolores Willis.
They were at one time members of the Presbyterian Church of the Redeemer. Currently, Sis attended the Meadville Wesleyan Methodist Church.
Sis is survived by their daughter Sandy Grinnell of Conneautville, a sister Faye Cannon, of Georgia, nieces and nephews: Debbie Brink, Tamazeen Barber, Vince Cannon, Crystal Keeble, Wanda Cannon: several great nieces and nephews, and close family friends and neighbors.
The services for Sis will be private, and have been entrusted to the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, R.Richard Tedesco II, Supervisor.
Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
