Michael David Niebauer, age 70, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on October 16, 2017 after an extended illness. Michael was born at Spencer Hospital in Meadville, PA on October 29, 1946. He was the son of the late Lorenz and Cynthia Ackerman Niebauer and grew up in Venango, PA. He attended Cambridge Springs High School where he played football, baseball, and was an avid wrestler. Upon graduation in 1964, Michael served in the United States Marine Corp where he attained the rank of sergeant and was an aviation navigator and also a veteran of the Vietnam War. After service in the military, Michael graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Norwein Niebauer; his stepson, Paul Snyder; and his twin brothers, Richard in 1965 and William in 2016. He is survived by his brother, George Niebauer of Cambridge Springs; his sisters, Ann Steadman of Venango and Ellen Triola of Meadville; his twin sons, Rick and Ryan Niebauer of Phoenix, AZ; his step daughter, Kathy Bradford of Ballground, GA; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. There will be no memorial services. The family asks that you remember Michael for the wonderful man that he was and to celebrate your memories of him.
