Michael's Story

Michael Lee Rash Jr. age 41 of Conneaut Lake, PA passed away due to injuries sustained from an automobile accident in Erie, on Saturday, May 6, 2017. Mike was born on June 9, 1975 to Michael Lee Rash Sr. and Donna Shiner Rash. Donna precedes him in death. Mike married Heidi Cozzens on October 29, 1994. She survives him.
Mike attended school at Conneaut Valley High School. He then worked at Pages Auto in Conneaut Lake installing tires until he became ill and had to retire. He was a member of VFW Post # 4965 in West Springfield and Pumphouse #45 in Hartstown. Mike enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, changing tires and spending time with his grandson. He was always putting others before himself and loved his dog Nico. Mike was proud to be a great friend to everyone. He did anything to help anyone. He was always making new friends, had a great smile, loved to make people laugh, joking round and having a goodtime. He was a family man with a heart of gold.
Survivors in addition to his wife Heidi, include his father Mike and his wife Mary "Toni" Rash, two daughters: Emilie Cozzens of Cherry Tree Township, and Kara Rash of Conneaut Lake, a son: Brandon Rash of Conneaut Lake, one grandchild: Zhane Nageotte, three siblings: Douglas Rash of Rome, OH, Billy Rash of Marionville, PA, Shonna Steele and her husband Keith of Meadville, two step-sisters: Sheila Magie and her husband Eric of Orlando, FL, and Christina Wampler of Cambridge Springs, and grandmother Janice Shiner of Conneautville. Mike is further survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins,
In addition to his mother, Mike was preceded in death by both of his grandfathers Richard Shiner and Jerry Rash.
Family and friends are welcome to call today from 2-4 and 6-8, with the funeral service to be held on Thursday, May, 11, 2017 at 1 PM at the Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, 130 North Second Street, Conneaut Lake, PA 16316. With Pastor Richard King of the Living Waters Church, officiating. Interment will take place at Anderson Cemetery.
