Michael  Rice

Events

Michael Rice, age 46 of Cooperstown, passed away August 17th 2018. He was born in Franklin, Pennsylvania, December 23, 1971; the son of Myron Ray Rice and the late Mary (Hefferman) Rice.
Michael graduated from Maplewood High School in 1990. Over the years he worked for several landscaping companies and was a former bartender at Ranz.
Michael played in the Crawford County mixed pool league in Meadville and he also enjoyed hunting and wildlife. He loved the Pittsburgh sports teams and was a Florida State and Pitt fan. Michael was a huge Dale Earnhardt, Team Blair and Jeremiah Shingledecker fan. He especially enjoyed going to the races with his son.
Surviving Michael is his father, Myron Rice of Cooperstown; one son, Chance Rice of Meadville; one sister, Melissa Rice of Meadville; one brother, Matt Rice of Denver, Colorado; one grandmother, Fern Rice of Franklin; and many cousins, aunts and uncles.
Preceding him in death are his grandparents LeeRoy Rice Jr., and Wayne and Twila Hefferman. Unfortunately, his mother Mary (Hefferman) Rice passed away April 27, 2019 before Michael was able to be buried.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 14th 5-7 p.m., at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA, with the funeral service to follow at 7p.m., with Glen Williams officiating the service.
Interment will take place in Peter's Cemetery.
