Peri's Story

Text size

Peri D. Bridger, age 58, of Naples, Florida and formerly of Cambridge Springs, passed away Sunday June 4, 2017 in Naples after her second courageous battle with cancer.
Peri was born in Erie on January 16, 1959, daughter of Patricia Moore Bridger and the late Donald M. Bridger. Peri moved with her family to Cambridge Springs in 1963 and grew up on the family dairy farm. She graduated from Cambridge Springs High School and Villa Maria College. She received her MBA from the University of Hartford.
She began her career in 1981 with Saga Foods which eventually became Sodexo. She quickly advanced through a variety of roles and retired in 2015 as the Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Sodexo North America.
Peri's greatest joy was her family and she was a great influence on her nieces and nephews. She loved travel, especially with her family, and visiting her favorite spas. She loved the beach and sunsets, was an avid reader and enjoyed yoga and meditation. She enjoyed peace and tranquility, and always remembered her roots on the farm in Cambridge Springs.
She was preceded in death by her father, her maternal grandparents John and Rae Moore and her paternal grandparents Clifford and Winifred Bridger.
Peri is survived by her husband Tim Otwell of Naples, her mother Patricia Bridger of Cambridge Springs; her sisters Kimberle Gervase (Jim) of Erie, Janel Wood (Bud) of Meadville, her brothers Stephen Bridger (Linda) of Saegertown and John Bridger (Amy) of Cambridge Springs. She is further survived by her nieces and nephews Melissa, Jennifer, Braden, Jordyn, Marshall, Nicole, Stella and Call; and a great-niece, Gemma.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Peri and her father Don, (who passed away October 11, 2016) on Monday July 3rd at 11:00 am at Asbury United Methodist Church 4703 West Ridge Road, Erie, PA 16506, with Rev. Bruce Davis officiating.
