Raymond's Story

Raymond L. Erickson, age 87 of Bigfork, MN passed away Tuesday, July 4th, 2017 at Bigfork Valley Nursing Home.
Raymond was born on September 15, 1929 to the late Cornelius and Pansy Erickson in Grand Rapids, MN. Raymond graduated from Bigfork High School and joined the US Air Force and served in Japan during the Korean Conflict. In 1952 he married Marian Kiskadden of Atlantic, PA who preceded him in death in 1990.
Raymond retired from PPG in 1992, he continued working on his farm and running his meat processing business until 1995 when he moved back to Bigfork, MN. He enjoyed his retirement, traveling and spending time with his family, playing cards and playing cribbage. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and he was a member of Masonic Lodge #408 of Meadville.
Raymond is survived by a daughter Bonnie and husband Rob Walker of Kadiz, KY and 2 sons, Patrick Erickson and his wife Kathy of Kinsman, OH and Dennis Erickson and his wife Rose of Atlantic, PA. A sister Kathleen Henry of Bigfork, MN, 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Marian, he is preceded in death by, his parents, 2 sisters, Lorraine Hamilton and Bertha Bjork, 5 brothers-in-law Kenneth Kiskadden, Robert Kiskadden, Richard Kiskadden, Gail Henry, Bud Hamilton and a granddaughter Kathy Erickson.
Per Raymond's request there will be no services. He will be interred with his wife at Hartstown Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Crawford County.
