Raymond L. "Butch" Houser, age 76, of Meadville, passed at his residence (with his family at his side) on May 28, 2017.
Butch was born, December 1, 1940, in Meadville, the son of John "Doc" Houser, and Betty Heil Houser; his parents preceded him in death.
He was formerly married to Meredith Dennison Houser of Pittsburgh, she survives. Butch was also married to Beverly Houser, she had passed away. Butch's significant other was Rebecca Colburn.
Butch was a graduate of Meadville High School; a driver for Meadville Laundry for 15 years, then Lafayette Taxi for many years until his retirement.
He was: a lifetime member of the Meadville Eagles; the Italian Civic Club; Station #27; Meadville Hunting and Fishing Club; and the West Mead #1, VFD.
He was a lifelong bowler (of many leagues); he also enjoyed golfing, and spending time with his sons.
Survivors include 2 sons: Jeffrey (Kathy) Houser of Bellevue, and Stephen (Dusti) Houser of Saegertown along with a step daughter Lynn (Jim) Crawford of Meadville, Pa.; also 4 grandchildren: Jeffrey Houser Jr., Kristine Houser, Randy Crawford, and Melinda Crawford. Butch is also survived by a sister-in-law Kathy (Bruce) Bernard of Washington, PA; and his beloved dog: "Lucky".
Preceding him in death are his parents, his wife Beverly K. Houser, and a sister Linda Borkovich.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017, from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville.
A private graveside service at Greendale Cemetery will be held.
