Only met Dick in Sarasota in recent years, but he exhumed such an incredible charm. Only wish we had been able to spend more time with him.

My condolences to Kate and Michael. Dick was a wonderful colleague and friend. He and Carol opened their home and hearts to me and I will always treasure their generosity, warmth and friendship. Dick was such a wonderful actor-- to see him on the stage was truly special.

Prof. Overmyer was witty, he could tell a great story and make any topic seem interesting. I loved the story about when his kids were little they would play “college”, which consisted of complaining about how busy and tired they are.

I took many classes with Professor Overmeyer while I was at Allegheny - I think of him every time I have to do a presentation (Public Speaking). I'm sorry to hear of his passing, my sympathies to his family....
