Richard (Dick)'s Story
Richard (Dick) E. Wills Sr., 78, passed away peacefully on Nov. 3, 2017 following complications from cancer. He relocated from the Maples Efficiency Apartments in Cochranton, PA to the home of his son, Lieutenant Colonel (R) Richard E. Wills Jr. of Midland, VA. At his request, no service will be held, and his son will spread his ashes over his favorite hunting spot.
Dick could accomplish anything he set his mind to. He proudly served in the US Navy. He loved Steelers football, auto racing, hunting with his son and traveling in his motor home across the US to include Alaska and Canada. He'd been employed by various companies in the Meadville area including truck driving for Clair Ferry in Saegertown. Dick was a heavy equipment operator and was considered the "best" fine grader by those in that field. He loved going to Blue Grass festivals with his long time friend, Karen Cape. He enjoyed visiting McDonalds every morning to put someone in the barrel, laugh and tell stories with friends. His family and his buddies and many other friends will miss him and his humorous personality.
