Richard Dale "Moose" Stierheim, 82, of Meadville passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at the Edinboro Manor following a brief illness.
He was born on December 11, 1934 in Ross Township, to the late Richard and Gladys Stierheim. He married Mary Kirk Stierheim on August 27, 1965.
Richard was a graduate of Perry High School. Following high school he enlisted in the United States Army. He was the owner/operator of Mead Auto Parts of Meadville until his retirement. He then worked at the DMV in the photo center. He was a member of the Crawford County Road Riders. Richard enjoyed camping, playing cards, classic cars, planes, toys, history, and motorcycles. He was of the Protestant faith.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years: Mary Stierheim, two daughters: Shelly Spanopoulos and her fiancé Jeff Labonowski of Saegertown, Jenny Stierheim of Erie, a son: Richard D. Stierheim and his wife Michele of Cochranton, three grandchildren: Tarin Stierheim, Conner Stierheim, and Nicolas Stierheim, and a sister: Norma Stierheim of Erie.
In addition to his parents Richard was preceded in death by a brother: Glenn David Stierheim, two grandchildren: Samantha Spanopoulos and Shawn Spanopoulos.
Family and friends are welcome to call on Friday, November 10, 2017 from 10 AM until the time of the memorial service at 11 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 649 Park Avenue, Meadville, PA 16335, with Pastor Benjamin Travis, officiating.
