Rose's Story

Rose Hoover, 90, of Meadville passed away Thursday January 25, 2018 at Rolling Fields Eldercare Community. She was born July 13, 1927 in East McKeesport, PA to the late Joseph and Josephine (Bosick) Rendulic. She married the late Wilson Hoover January 16, 1948 who preceded her in death September 2, 1991.
Rose worked various places including the Albro, ShoeCo, Marx Toy Factory and subcontracted with Gribus Woodworking. She enjoyed playing Bingo, attending the Senior Center and putting jigsaw puzzles together. She was always hard to get a hold of because she was always talking on her phone. Most of all she enjoyed visiting with her family and grandchildren and loved her biweekly lunch dates with her sisters.
Rose is survived by her children, Connie (Joseph) McConegly of Girard, PA, Garry (Susan) Hoover of NC, Bonnie (Brenton) Tenney of Meadville, PA, Grandchildren, Tracie (Michael) Szczutkowski, Melissa (Paul) Robison, Kelly (Dennis Baumann) McCall, Kenneth (Tracey) McConegly, Carrie (Paul) Guschewsky, Kyle (Kristen) Hoover, and Amanda (Robert) Potts, Great-grandchildren, Hunter, Remington, A.J., Sierra, Angel, Anthony, Khloee, David, Natalie, and Addison, Siblings, Katie Varee, Mary (Skeet) Varee, Julie (Ed) Schlosser, John (Phyllis) Rendulic, Betty (Ken) Eaton, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband Rose is preceded in death by brothers Michael, Joseph, Stephen and Frank, sisters, Anna Wilson and Eva Wolfe.
Friends and family may call at the McCauley Funeral Home, 1405 Main St. Conneautville, PA 16406 on Monday, January 29, 2018 from 4:00PM until the time of the service at 7:00PM.
