Stephen R. Yoney Stephen R. Yoney, 62, of Conneaut Lake, died unexpectedly Friday, November 30, 2018.

He was born June 5, 1956 in Greensburg, a son of the late Robert and Pauline Yoney. He married Nancy Madden and they recently celebrated 31 years of marriage.

Steve retired as Building Trades Instructor at the State Correctional Institution, Mercer, with 25 years of service.

A member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Church where he enjoyed playing the organ, Steve also enjoyed woodworking.

Survivors, in addition to his loving wife Nancy, include a son, Stephen N. Yoney of Conneaut Lake; a stepson, Chad Eckenrode (Kristi); a brother, James Yoney; and three grandchildren, Seth, Camren and Paige Eckenrode.

A memorial service will be held at a future date.

Memorials may be made to Our Lady Queen of the Americas Church, 155 S. Ninth St., Conneaut Lake, PA 16316.

My deepest sympathy to Steve's family. I remember with fondness working with Steve in the education department at SCI Cambridge Springs.

Steve was one of a very few people who really helped mentor me into corrections education. I was the Barber Teacher with him at SCI MERCER. May he rest peacefully in Christ's Holy embrace.

Steve restored a buffet and also made a sign for me...we were friends and co-works..he was a man of his word, he was a gentleman, and was immaculate in his work....RIP was my pleasure to have had the pleasure for you to be in my circle of friends...
