Terry's Story

Terry Michael Smith, 63, of Shermans Dale, PA, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2017, in hospice in Orlando, Fl. A Celebration of Life will be held at Unity Church, Enola, PA, on Sept. 2, 2017 at 1:00 pm.
Terry was born in Meadville, PA, in 1954, the son of Harry and Edna Smith, who precede him in death. He graduated from Meadville Area High School in 1972 and received his BA from Penn State University Beaver Campus in 1975.
Terry worked as a Systems Analyst/Application Developer for the state of Pennsylvania for 33 years after which he moved to Florida. He was an accomplished amateur photographer and skilled on the saxophone, guitar and piano. He greatly enjoyed downhill skiing and closely followed the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and especially the Penguins.
Terry was known for his quick wit, his gentleness, and his generosity, contributing to many charities.
Terry is survived by brothers, Ronald (Anne) Smith of Greeneville, TN, and Gary Smith of Panama City Beach, FL, sister Vicki (John) Hambrick of Orlando, FL, cousins Debbie (Jim) Myers of Cochranton, PA and Karen (Russ) Ward of Erie, PA and lots of close extended family.
