Thomas 'Tom''s Story

Thomas "Tom" Robert Mason, age 68 of Meadville, passed away on August 15, 2017 at his residence.
He was born April 2, 1949 in Meadville, the son of the late Arthur Mason and Anne Calder Mason. He married Diane Hall Wright on December 16, 1995. She survives.
He was a 1967 graduate of Meadville High School. He retired as a truck driver with Roadway Express and formally worked at Milk Transport of Grove City, PA
Thomas was a member of the Stone United Methodist Church. He enjoyed working on cars, tractors and other motorized vehicles, racing collecting and traveling.
Those who knew Tom will always remember him as a man who refused to let injuries, illness, or age slow him down or get in the way of getting his work done because he believed in working hard so you can play hard. Tom never had time to relax because there was always too much to do. He enjoyed traveling the country on his motorcycle and with his motorhome. He currently had many car projects he was working on including a drag car that he wanted to race. He loved his wife and cherished spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and was fortunate enough to see his two daughters and grandchildren before they moved to Guam and the Philippines recently. He was a very proud man and very proud of his children, and he will be dearly missed by all.
He is survived by his wife: Diane Mason of Meadville, two daughters: Susan Bien and her husband Colonel Brent Bien of Asan, Guam, Jacquelyn Kinnear and her husband Chad of Manila, Philippines, a son: Thomas Mason Jr. and his wife Brenda of Meadville, PA a step-daughter: Jonda Wright of New Enterprise, PA, a step son: James L. Wright and his wife Sherrie of New Enterprise, PA, nine grandchildren: Janine Webster, Larissa Mason, Travis Mason, Liam Kinnear, Connor Kinnear, Dylan Kinnear, Alexis Bien, Jenna Bien, Kaitlyn Bien and two step grandchildren: Jeremy Wright and Kasey Wright, two great-grandchildren: Lydia Webster and Kori Ward, his twin brother: Timothy Mason and his wife Wanita of Conneautville, PA, several nieces and nephews and cousins and his Uncle Robert Mason of Seattle, WA.
In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by a step-grandson: Brett Luther- James Scell and a sister: Cynthia Smith
