William James (Bill) Hank passed from this life to his eternal home on December 1, 2017 following a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 40 years, Phyllis (Grundy) Hank; his daughter, Michelle and her husband, Joey Dufresne, two grandsons, Joey and Matthew; sisters Judy (deceased), Eileen McLendon, brother Dennis Hank, and many close friends.
Bill was born in Meadville, PA on April 6, 1950, the son of James and Geraldine (Mitchell) Hank. After graduating from Meadville High School in 1969, Bill moved to Orlando, FL to begin a career in industrial construction and government utilities projects. He retired from Orange County Utilities in 2016 where his contributions to the city of Orlando were recognized and honored by coworkers.
Through friends and family Bill learned the art of photography and developed an eye for capturing artistic memories of people and places he enjoyed. In 1997 one of his photographs won "Best in Show" in the Orange County Arts in April competition.
Bill had a passion for the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He enjoyed hunting excursions with family & friends in Pennsylvania, Texas, Colorado, Maine, Newfoundland and culminated his travels in Africa. He enjoyed time with family especially exploring the countryside at their North Carolina mountain home.
Bill's friendly laugh will be missed by all who knew him.
