William G. Knight, age 79, of 26073 Millers Station Road, Cambridge Springs passed away at his home on November 17, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Bill was born on June 24, 1938, in Cambridge Springs, the son of Felix DeSensi and Esther Matthews DeSensi. He graduated from Cambridge High School with the class of 1955. At the age of fourteen, he began his lifelong career as a barber working alongside his father, and continued working until recently. In 1979, Bill began working at Lords Manufacturing in Cambridge Springs and continued for over twenty years.
He enjoyed carpentry, working around his home, fishing, and the company of his dogs. Bill particularly relished spending time with his family and visiting with his numerous friends in the barber shop.
He is survived by his wife, Linda L. Wilmoth Knight; his daughter, Lynne Knight; his son, Bryan Knight and his wife, Kitty; his son, Kris Knight and his wife, Beth; grandchildren, Brent Knight, Kayla Knight, Madalyn Knight, and Keira Knight; all of Cambridge Springs.
Bill's family wishes to thank hospice caregivers, Beth and Janet, Pastor Tom, and Doctor Paula for all their assistance.
There will be no calling hours or funeral service.
A private committal service will be held Monday, November 20, at Mitchell Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to Heartland Hospice, 719 Indiana Drive, Erie, PA 16505-4409.
