Barbara Louise Clark Randall, of 153 Smith St. Cochranton, died Sunday July 30, 2017 at 85 years old. She was born July 12, 1932 in Sharon PA, daughter of Otis Lemuel Clark and Alice Carey Clark.
Barbara attended a one room school house in Hadley PA. She skipped a grade allowing her to graduate a year early from Cochranton High School in 1949, where she excelled in the business program.
She married EJ "Cork" Randall on September 27, 1952 after a very short four-month courtship. They both enjoyed dancing and were one on the ballroom floor as they were in life. They set an example for family and friends as loyal life partners. They were soulmates, amazing parents, business partners, and faithful Christians. Cork preceded her in death on August 23, 2008.
In 1958, Cork and Barb founded Sunset Memorials, a monument shop and ran the company together for 35 years. They also owned and operated Randall Burial Service from 1978 until their retirement in 1994.
Barbara was a member of the Cochranton United Methodist Church, the Order of Eastern Star, Kismet Grotto, and Meadville Elks.
Barb and Cork were blessed with two daughters, LuAnn Jackson and husband Daniel A. of Cochranton, Pamela K. Roche of Harrisburg and special friend Mark E. Roche, and a son David C. Randall and wife Natalie K. of Hermitage. Grandchildren include Bradley D. Jackson and wife Erin, Ryan D. Jackson and wife Joanna, Erin J. Roche, Evan D. Randall and wife Alyson, Matthew D. Randall, and Nolan D. Randall and found joy in her nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters - Dorothy H. Umlauf, Hazel M. Beatty, Mildred G. Buchanan and two brothers - Robert C. Clark and Donald E. Clark, two nephews and a niece.
Friends may call at Dickson Family Funeral Home, 123 S. Franklin St. Cochranton on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9. Friends can also call Thursday morning at the Cochranton United Methodist Church from 10-11, funeral services will be held at the church at 11:00 with Rev. Bargar officiating. Interment will be in the Cochranton Cemetery.
