MEADVILLE - David A. Campbell, 57 of Meadville, passed away, on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Village at Luther Square in Erie, PA. He was born in Warren, Ohio on December 28, 1959, a son of Leon Giles Campbell and Jane Ann Zang. He married Doris J. Sprankle.
He enjoyed hunting, camping, riding his four-wheeler and was an avid Steelers Fan.
David was a member of Vietnam Vets Post #52 in Meadville, a Volunteer Fire Fighter for Dept. 27 and a Fire Police Captain.
He worked as a Sanitation Engineer at Northland Refuse and at Bud Miller Ford.
David is survived by his loving wife, Doris of Meadville; two step-daughters, Pam Carey of Amarillo, TX and Wilma Harry and her husband, John of Saegertown; two step-sons, William Greenawald and his wife, Brenda of Meadville, Jeff Greenawald and his wife Charity of Hartstown; thirteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Susan McKinney and her husband, Mike of Transfer, PA; two brothers, Richard Campbell and his wife, Inza, and Robert "Brian" Campbell and his wife, Lois of Meadville; a half brother, Lee Campbell and his wife Debbie of Colorado and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Wesbury Campus Community Center, 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville.
