Donald C. "Boomer" or "Fuzzy" Fausnaught, age 67, of Waterford, died Saturday, August 5, 2017. Born in Harmonsburg, PA on July 8, 1950, he was the son of the late Clifford and Elnora M. Fausnaught. He was also preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Luanne Beth Fausnaught, and his mother-in-law Georgine Knauff
Don's family includes his children, Dayna, Danny, and Donnie Fausnaught; his father-in-law John Knaff; sister- and brother-in-law Diane and Steve Hill; and nephew and niece, Steve and Stephanie. Don also had his best friends, Dick and Jen Reinwald, Shawn Bizer, Art Gillingham, and Tom and Cindy Robinson.
For many years Don was a truck driver for Hafer Trucking and Anchor Motorfreight. In the 1970's he competed in truck pulls as "Buffalo Thunder" and raced at local dirt tracks in car #39. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing on his boat, and hanging out with friends. He formerly volunteered with the Summit Township Fire Department.
Friends are invited to visiting hours at Van Matre Funeral Home, 105 Walnut Street, Waterford on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Rocky Glen Cemetery in Adamsville, PA on Monday at 11:00 a.m.
