Jack Edward Yenny, age 76, passed away unexpectedly at his home, 24364 State Highway # 99, Cambridge Springs, PA on Tuesday, August 8, 2017. He had been in failing health. Born on July 17, 1941 in Union City, PA, Jack was a son of the late Fritz Yenny and Thelma Wise Yenny. He married the former Heidi L. Batchelor on October 12, 1979 and she survives.
Jack began his work career at Northwest Rural Electric in Cambridge Springs in 1966 retiring from there in 2003 after 38 years as a lineman. Jack enjoyed hunting, especially duck hunting, fishing, and thoroughly enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren.
Preceding Jack in death was a granddaughter - Ashley Yenny, his brother - Jim Yenny, and his sister - Barb Winsor. Surviving Jack in addition to his wife, Heidi, are two sons - David Edward Yenny and his wife, Pam of Girard and Dean William Yenny of McKean; a daughter - Emily L. Birkmire and her husband, Keith of McKean; three grandsons - Kyle and Kody Birkmire and David Yenny and his wife, Samantha; and three great grandchildren. Jack is further survived by his brother - Pat Yenny and his wife, Patty of Venango and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Thursday, August 10th from 2-4 and 6-8. Private funeral services will be held on Friday with Reverend Rod Beardsley, pastor of First Baptist Church in Cambridge Springs, officiating. Interment will follow in Venango Cemetery.
