Steven J. "Steve" Zuccaro of Mercer and formerly of Meadville died after an extended illness at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 27, 2017, in Hospice House, Poland, Ohio. He was 76.
Steve was born, April 30, 1941, in Meadville, a son of Salvatore and Ethel (Barb) Zuccaro.
He married Kathleen (Andreoletti) Zuccaro on Oct. 16, 1972. She survives.
Steve graduated from Meadville High School in 1959 and is a veteran of the United States Army.
He worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Sharon and Hermitage for 38 years, retiring in 2005. Then he worked for Adessa Auto Auction as a driver for 12 years.
He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Mercer and a former member of Italian Home Club in Farrell. Steve was also an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and Notre Dame athletics.
Steve is survived by: his wife, Kathleen; son, Mark Rongaus and his wife Kristen of Arvada, Colo.; a sister, Susan Vanderveen of Meadville; grandchildren Max, Maggie and Mitchell Rongaus, all of Colorado; and his niece, Nikki Goers and her husband Gary.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Barbara Hogan.
