Alvina Roselynn Homa
Alvina Homa, 65, of Cochranton passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at Meadville Medical Center. She was born in Franklin on June 5, 1954, a daughter of Elmer and Pearl Whitman Haun. Alvina was a 1972 graduate of Franklin High School.
She married Wallace Francis Homa on May 31, 1975. She was employed for 15 years at Drafto in Cochranton in the housekeeping department. Alvina was also employed by the Cochranton Lanes and as a school crossing guard.
Alvina enjoyed volunteering in Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church fair booth and other church events. She also enjoyed bowling and watching her birds. She loved all types of animals, especially her dogs. Alvina was a former den leader for the Cub Scouts. Decorating for the holidays was one of her favorite hobbies.
In addition to her husband,Wallace, she is survived by her children: Rick (Ruby) Homa of Cochranton and Ray (Michelle) Homa also of Cochranton and her grandchildren: Chance, Landon, Bria, Emily, Analyse, and Isabel. Alvina is also survived by her sister Delores and her brothers; David, Ralph, John and Clyde. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters: Virginia, Harriett, and Sara and her brother: Elmer Haun.
Friends and family may call at DICKSON FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, INC, 123 South Franklin Street, Cochranton, PA on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 10am to 11am. Funeral service will be at 11 am at the funeral home with Rev. Steve Clulow presiding. Interment will be in Lupher Chapel Cemetery, Utica, PA

I when to school with her and she was a good friend I my, I always like her we always set together at lunch and some class, I was thing about her one day when I was looking at the year book. She will be miss and her big smile , big heart. Rest in peace Alvina
