Cambridge Springs, PA - Carole Lorraine Pentycofe, age 82, of Cambridge Springs, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, with her family by her side. Born in Erie on February 28, 1943, Carole was the daughter of the late Stanley F. Bronakoski and Mary E. Eckstein Bronakoski. Carol graduated from Harborcreek High School with the class of 1961 and married Peter D. Pentycofe on June 27, 1964. For over thirty years, she worked as a nurse's aide at San Rosario and the Presbyterian Home where she also was the Activities Director. She had also served as the secretary for the Salvation Army in Meadville for over ten years. As a member of Brown Hill Church, she was the organist for over thirty years. As an accomplished musician, she also played the accordion. When visiting Florida, she treasured the days walking the beach with her sister Janice. Carole was a gifted artist, skilled in drawing and watercolors. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Carole was preceded in death by husband Peter D. Pentycofe in 2014, beloved son Christopher Pentycofe in 2009, brother James Bronakoski and sister Janice Bronakoski in 2021.

Survivors include son Gregory Pentycofe and his wife Cynthia of Cambridge Springs, daughter Cheryl Ferry and her husband Don of Springboro, daughter Kim Erdely and her husband Don of Cambridge Springs, grandson Cody Ferry of Springboro, granddaughter Mandy Pentycofe of Cambridge Springs, step-grandson Jake Thomas of Cambridge Springs, and sister Andrea Simcheck of Cambridge Springs.

Friends may call at the Brown Hill Church on Saturday, November 8 from 10 am until the funeral service to be held at 11 am with the Rev Don MacMartin officiating. Interment will follow at LeBouef Cemetery. To send condolences, please visit www.vanmatrefuneralhome.com
