Dale S. Lipps Obituary
Meadville, PA - Dale S. Lipps, 65, of Meadville, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at UPMC Hamot.
Dale was born in Meadville on June 7, 1960, a son of the late Norman and Gloria (Damico) Lipps.
Dale was married to Beth Ellen Reagle, who predeceased him on February 12, 2001.
Dale attended St. Agatha Church.
In 2019, Dale retired from the Public Works Department of the City of Meadville. He began his career there in 1981 working part time until 1985 when he became full time, and went on to complete 34 years of service. Graduating from Meadville High School in 1978, he worked for a brief period for Meadville Malleable and Channellock. He was a member of VFW #2006 and Station #4. Dale had numerous interests which included reading, building models of military planes and ships, wood working, and he was a genuine movie buff. He was mechanically minded and many would kid him about being a "Foundation of Useless Knowledge." His greatest enjoyment came from the time spent with his family, especially his son and grandson. He will be missed.
Dale is survived by his son, Jeremy Lipps (Pam) of Meadville; a grandson, Alexander James Lipps; two stepchildren, Nathan Rudy, Jennifer McCune, both of Meadville; and a sister, Cynthia Andrews of Meadville.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Norman Lipps, Jr., and his brother-in-law, Brian Teasdale.
Visitation will be from 11 AM -1 PM on Monday, April 13, 2026, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where Funeral Services will follow at 1 PM.
Dale will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery.
