Meadville, PA - Donna Faye (Swavey) Barretta 91, of Meadville, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Wesbury.

She was born in Harmonsburg on November 10, 1934, to the late Samuel and Frances (Bentley) Swavey.

She married Joseph F. Barretta on January 29, 1955; he predeceased her on September 14, 2002. She was also predeceased by two siblings, Norma Van Riper and Martin Swavey.

Donna is survived by two children, Richard Sheakley of Saegertown, Pamela Dunn of Harrisonburg, VA; four grandchildren, Chad Hurban, Adam Hurban, Amber Aboagye, and Jennifer Sheakley, as well as five great-grandchildren.

Donna enjoyed family gatherings at her house, breakfast with her close girlfriends, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed crafts and had her own store for a period of time. She worked in downtown Meadville at the former Wolf's and D&K for several years, and also spent time as a volunteer at Meadville Medical Center.

Family and friends are invited to call from 4-7 PM on Friday, February 27, 2026, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where a Scripture Service will be held at 6:30 PM.

A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at St. Agatha Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville, with Father Kyle Seyler, Parochial Vicar, officiating.

Donna will be laid to rest with her husband, Joseph, in Greendale Cemetery.
