I am privileged to have inherited Edna Karns as an 'auntie' by way of my late husband Steven Trace Allen. When I spent the summers in Meadville from 2013 - 2016, his Mom June would invite Edna to her home for lunch, or we'd meet up at Perkins or other local eatery for a nosh, or just stop over to visit Edna at her home to talk gardens, family, whatever, and it was always a lively time! I thought Mom was pretty busy and had a lot going on until I met Edna, and I will always remember her energy, her ever-growing list of projects, and I can't look at salt-and-pepper shakers without thinking of her with a smile. My deepest condolences to her entire family, all her church members and friends, ...and I look forward with you to seeing her again.Read more
