Elma Mae Sisco
Elma Mae Sisco, 91, of Meadville, passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 26, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born July 2, 1928 in Covode, PA, a daughter of Francis and Elma Baun Allison. She married Albert J. (Brud) Sisco November 4, 1949 and he preceded her in death July 28, 2011.

Elmie was a 1946 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School. She worked at Baldwin & Walker Hardware, American Viscose in the control lab, Super Duper, and retired in 1993 from the Penn Lakes Girl Scout Council.

A member of Trinity Lutheran Church, she served on church council, alter guild and "splash grandma." Elmie was a volunteer for Hospice of Crawford County, the Meadville Soup Kitchen and at Juniper Village. Known for her stubborn independence, Elmie always liked an adventure, was loved by all who knew her, was an animal lover, especially cats, and enjoyed feeding and watching birds.

Survivors include a daughter, Penny Sanzari (David) of Cochranton; two grandchildren, Evan Sanzari (Kathleen) and Kelly Sanzari; two great-grandchildren, Kendall and Kiran; a sister, June Batchlet of Saegertown; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Edwin and Tom Allison and two brothers-in-law, Elmer (Ruth) and Alfred (Carolyn) Sisco.

Calling hours will be Monday, July 29th from 6-8 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE and Tuesday, July 30th from 10-11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 649 Park Ave., Meadville. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Ben Travis, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
