Floyd Amos Kline
Floyd Amos Kline, 84 of Cochranton, died Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Wesbury Methodist Community. Born, September 21, 1935 in Dunmore, West Virginia, he was the son of Floyd A. and Nellie K. Carpenter Kline, Sr. He married Ruby J. Cherry on October 11, 1958 and she preceded him in death on April 26, 2014.
He was a 1955 graduate of Cochranton High School and served with the US Army from 1955-1958.
Amos worked at the former Avtex for 25 years and with Dunn Construction Company for 10 years.
He was a member of the Cochranton Sportsmen's Club, enjoyed hunting, fishing and dancing.
Survivors included his children, Amy Counselman (Brian) of Cochranton, Debra Lyberger (Bob) of Saegertown, Tammy Fairchild (Nelson) of Gaylord, MI, and Kevin Kline of Cochranton. Ten grandchildren, Travis, Keith, Brianna, Ellie, Krystal, Chelsea, Kyle, Meranda, Preston, and Melissa. A sister, Barbara Cherry (Chuck) of Hannaville, and two brothers, Allen Kline (Yvonne) of Stoneboro and Kenneth Kline of Carlton.
In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his parents, a son Brian Kline and two sisters Betty Woge and Joyce Phares.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the DICKSON FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, INC., Cochranton on 2:00pm Saturday, October 12, 2019 with the Rev. David Brumagin, officiating.
