Heidi Grams
Heidi Ann Grams of Conneautville, PA passed away at her home on November 19, 2019 at the age of 76. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edith Seabury and Howard Seabury, her husband of 30 years, Norman A. Grams, and her previous husband, Charles A. Muddiman. She is survived by her daughter, Shelly Lyn Main (Rich) of Erie, PA, her son, David Charles Muddiman (Meredith) of Raleigh, NC, and 4 grandchildren, Ricky, Caitlin, Erin and Jocelyn. She is also survived by her dog, Tucker and her cats, Molly and Sonny. Her love of animals was insatiable throughout her life and she cherished their company, love, and support.
Heidi worked at City Hospital (now Meadville Medical Center) as a nurse's aide for nearly two decades. She was always passionate about helping those in need and enjoyed the opportunity to do this throughout her medical career. Among the skills acquired during her tenure as a nurse's aide, learning how to administer EKG's was likely one of the most impactful, as during the late 70's, this technology was not nearly as advanced as it is today. She also enjoyed her work in the surgical suite, assisting doctors - whose profession she was most respectful of and proud to support. Above all, she was a caring and compassionate caregiver for many years.
Throughout her life, her beautiful blue eyes remained a kind, warm window to her soul. They captivated and comforted others as they were her unspoken words of her willingness to help others. She loved to laugh and had a wonderful sense of humor. She also had a very strong emotional fiber that instinctively drove her to care for and help others. She was an empathetic soul toward people and animals alike.
Heidi loved nature, living in the "country", cutting her grass, and having a coffee with a neighbor - the simple joys of life. She was fiercely passionate about caring for animals (and rescued many animals in dire need of care) and always treated all people with great respect, regardless of their walk of life. These values are her legacy, which she deeply instilled in her children.
Heidi's wish for private arrangements is honored by her surviving family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ASPCA in her name (https://www.aspca.org/ways-to-give scroll down to Memorial and Honor Gifts or call 1-888-277-2210).

Good morning Mom, I miss you so much and I keep grabbing my phone to call you as I always did. I know you are in a better place and now you are an angel that watches over my family. You deserve the afterlife in heaven with God because of what you accomplished on Earth. People who knew you are lucky.

Thanks to the others who have posted, truly appreciate reading your comments about my Mom.

Heidi and I live across the street from each other in Meadville and were close childhood friends. I will always remember her love of animals, beginning with Chum her sweet big dog. We met again in Southern California and resumed our friendship. Shelly and David were born there and I was able to enjoy them during that time. Then life happened and we all moved away. I saw her again some 50 years later when I returned to Meadville to attend our high school reunion. And no surprise, she had the beloved animals and rural environment she always wanted. RIP, Heidi. You will be remembered by creatures large and small. And to Shelly and David, may your mother's memory bring you comfort. I wish you s...trength. JudithRead more
