Saint Charles, MO - Jack C. Shannon, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Karalee A. Shannon; cherished son of the late Orion Shannon and the late Rhoda Reagle; devoted dad of Diane L. (Jeff) Schindler, Bonnie L. (Bill) Plemmons, and the late Karen Sue Shannon; loving grandpa of Christopher Schindler, Jeremy (Becca) Schindler, and Brandon (Haley) Plemmons; treasured great-grandpa of Josie, Nora, Charlie, and Parker (expected in January); dear brother of two siblings who also preceded him in death, Merle Shannon and Ray Shannon.

Jack graduated from Meadville High School in 1959 and from the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics in 1962. He then proudly and honorably served in the United States Air Force for four years before beginning a distinguished 37-year career in the airline industry. Jack spent 35 years in maintenance with TWA and retired in 2003 as an Aircraft Inspector with American Airlines. He was a devoted member of Church of the Shepherd in St. Charles, MO, where he faithfully served on the AV Team, and was also a member of the St. Peters Squares for more than 25 years. Jack and his beloved wife, Karalee, shared 63 wonderful years of marriage. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, bowling, and working with model trains. Jack was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Friends are invited to call at Van Matre Funeral Home, Cambridge Springs on Friday, September 12 from 1 to 3 pm followed by a committal service at Venango Cemetery.
