Jessie  Warren Uzarski
Jessie Warren Uzarski, of West Salem Township, formerly of Linesville, PA, passed away of natural causes at 7:20pm on September 18, 2019, in St. Paul Homes. She was 98.
In 1921, Jessie was born on January 13 in Linesville, a daughter to Ellen Jane (Lewis) and Leo Ralph Warren.
She was a Linesville High School graduate, class of 1939.
From 1954 to 1978, Jessie was the Linesville Tax Collector, as well as a co-owner of Linesville Lumber from 1968-79.
As a faithful member of St. Philip Church, Jessie belonged to both the Altar and Rosary Society there. Additionally, she was a member of the Linesville Historical Society, Linesville Women's Club, Sunshine Club, RSVP and Linesville Senior Center.
Jessie enjoyed cooking, playing cards, traveling and watching Lawrence Welk on TV. She would take joy in keeping a diary and making photo albums of family and friends, but most of all, delighted in spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are a daughter, Elaine Nagel and her husband Dr. Michael E. Nagel Sr., of Allison Park, PA. A son, Dr. Gerald R. Uzarski and his wife Janice, of Greenville, PA; 7 grandchildren, Jennifer Nagel Gallmeyer and her husband Ted, Dr. Michael Nagel Jr. and his wife Monique, Patricia Nagel Boham and her husband Robert, David Nagel and his wife Elizabeth, Brian Uzarski and his wife Natalie, Douglas Uzarski and his wife Susan and Julie Lutz; and 18 great grandchildren and one Great Great Granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Uzarski, whom she married on September 2, 1939, and he passed away July 24, 1997; and a brother Leo F. Warren.
Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at 11am in St. Philip Church, 401 S. Mercer St., Linesville, PA 16424, with Fr. V. David Foradori as celebrant.
Visitation: Tuesday, September 24, 2019 from 10am to time of service in the church. Friends may sign guest book at
Burial: St. Philip Cemetery, Linesville, PA.
